  • You can check in anytime the hostel is open (from 7am until 12am daily). Official check-in time is 3pm so if you arrive before this time your room may not be ready. If you arrive before your room is ready you can store your luggage free of charge and use our common areas.

As a registered historic building we do not have an elevator so pack lightly! We have three floors of bedrooms and staff will be happy to assist with luggage on the stairs.

We have washers and dryers which are available from 3pm until 10:00pm daily. It costs $2.50 to wash and $2.50 to dry and accepts quarters, one dollar and two dollar coins. Detergent is available free of charge.

A towel will be provided on your bed upon check in. If you need a fresh one bring the old one down and a staff member will give you a replacement.

We have a secure luggage storage room in the downstairs area which is open everyday from 7am until 12am. Luggage can be stored here free of charge and only staff have access to the room. We also have space underneath the beds in the rooms for luggage and a smaller locker (with key provided free of charge) for valuables. Guests are asked to store larger items of luggage in the storage room rather than shared accommodation.

Our maximum stay is 14 nights. Guests can extend beyond this at a manager’s discretion but can only have 14 nights booked at a time.

We do not reserve specific beds unless it is for a medical reason. If it is communicated with us in advance we will do our best to give you a lower bunk wherever possible.

Cancellations must be made by 12pm the day before you wish to cancel. As long as the cancellation is made by this time the guest will not be charged or will be eligible for a refund.

The private rooms share a washroom with three other private rooms on the same floor.

Guests must be eighteen or older to stay in shared accommodation. Guests under eighteen can stay in a private room provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

All guests must provide a valid piece of government issued photographic ID upon check-in (so driver’s license, passport, national ID card, etc.) We cannot accept photos of IDs or student cards. Guests without valid ID will not be accepted into the hostel and charged for their stay. If you are not sure if your ID will be accepted please contact us in advance and we will let you know if it is acceptable.

Hairdryers can be borrowed from reception free of charge.

From Pearson International Airport you can either take a taxi, Uber or Lyft. Cost may vary between $45-$80. 
 
If you’d like to take public transport, you can take the UP-Express from Terminal 1 to Union Station (cost ~$12).
 
From Union Station take the streetcar 510 to College Street. Walk 5mins along College St to the hostel.
 
Alternatively you can take the bus 900 from Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 to Kipling Station. From Kipling Station take the Subway going East to Spadina Station. From Spadina Station take streetcar 510 to College Street. Walk 5mins along College St to the hostel (total cost $3.35).
 
At the airport or at any subway station you can buy the PRESTO card at one of the machines, load it with money and use this card for your travels within Toronto. Please note that buses and streetcars only accept PRESTO card and cash only.
